Jacks is a United States Marine veteran, and retired police officer. He started working with horses in 1988, and started in construction in 1995, combining his love of animals and construction by doing barn framing and fencing, and expanded to barn builds and farm planning in 2006. He stays busy now in his free time playing with his German Shepherd, Murphy, and the occasional road trip delivering hay or horses across North Carolina.

Traey has been working with horses for over 25 years, spending the last 15 years training with reining horses. But his love for all things horses wasn't limited to just reiners, as he's worked everything from quarter horses to Belgians. His love for farming started early, as he was the Future Farmers of America president from 2004-2005. He has studied equine business management, and spent the last 14 years working in the trades, with a special interest in welding and fabrication.
